To celebrate the survival of their first year of high school as well as the completion of their first Shakespearean play, Julius Caesar, Mrs. Kragerud and a group of super parents (with very minimal help from Ms. Chang!) planned a toga party for our young Thespians!
This Toga Party included Little “Caesar’s” Pizza, “Caesar” Salad, Orange “Julius”, and other fun and royal snacks! Students who found their festive spirit and inner actors/actresses came to the party dressed in togas.
Students also learned that many thing we say today, we owe to Shakespeare! Sayings like, “It’s all Greek to me,” “Heart of Gold,” “Vanished into thin air,” “Wear your heart of your sleeve,” “For goodness’s sake!” “What’s done is done,” “A piece of work,” and even the classic, “Knock-knock! Who is there?” came from Shakespeare!
All and all, it has been an absolutely amazing and blessed year. Thank you to all teachers, parents, and students!
